OFFERS SPEECHES AND SEMINARS ON:
- 9 Things Successful People do Differently
Based on her singularly popular Harvard Business Review blog post and subsequent Ebook- 9 Things Successful People do Differently, Dr. Grant Halvorson explains how to put aside your (mistaken) beliefs about why you have succeeded or failed in the past, and focus instead on what the science tells us really matters: specificity, commitment, if-then planning, realistic optimism, mindset, goal-strategy fit, feedback, self-control, and persistence. These are the nine elements you need to tackle any challenge. Dr. Grant Halvorson will teach you simple and proven strategies, grounded in science, that you can use to master these elements and increase your own effectiveness, and how you can use this knowledge to help your team reach its fullest potential. A copy of the Ebook will be provided to each participant prior to the speech or class. - Understanding Prevention and Promotion
Two people who appear to want the same thing – like a new car, a lucrative investment, or an effective leader - can actually be motivated in two entirely different ways. Promotion motivation is about gains - the desire to make progress, to stand out, to get more. Prevention motivation, on the other hand, is about avoiding losses, to keep things working and feel safe and secure. Match your message to your audience's motivation, and you’ll unlock a powerful, often-untapped source of persuasiveness – they will like what you're offering more, and pay more for it. Dr. Grant Halvorson will teach you to understand and master the art, and science, of creating motivational fit.
